Buffalo Plaid Season is Here!

‘Tis the season for buffalo plaid. There is something about a classic red buffalo plaid check that instantly makes me think of Christmas. Now, you can absolutely wear it other times of the year, but it is just too dang perfect around the holidays.

If it was up to me, my entire family would wear matching buffalo plaid attire every single year for our holiday cards. My hubby isn’t going to quite agree to that, but it doesn’t mean I can’t dress up the kids to match their super cute stuffed animals (C/O Cuddle + Kind) and conveniently hop in a photo with them. I mean, don’t we all look perfectly festive?!

My buffalo plaid vest (C/O Jane.com) is a nice pop of plaid without being too over the top. You know, as if dressing your whole family in plaid is completely normal. Carter’s shirt is from last year, but this one is similar. Kenzie’s buffalo plaid shirt dress is just adorable, especially when paired with her awesome snowman boots (C/O EMU). Now all we need is a Christmas tree and we are all set.

I figure even if I only wear them during the holiday season, I’ll get my money’s worth. Cole Haan makes a similar version, but add a 1 to the front of that price tag. Yes, my version is much more sensible.
