Trend Alert: Distressed Sweaters

In case you haven’t noticed, distressed just about everything is totally in style right now. Jeans, dresses and now, distressed sweaters. A few years ago, a small tear or hole in a sweater would have made me toss a sweater in the trash or Goodwill bin. But now, I find myself seeking out things with holes in it. Of course, I think there is a big difference between distressing done right and completely wrong. I like to think I’ve got this trend down pat.

I love a good comfy sweater this time of year. Even though it is still warm here during the days, the nights have been perfectly cool. I will say a sweater isn’t exactly necessary, but I can now comfortably wear a sweater without sweating. This cream distressed version (also available in grey), in particular, is perfect because of the big neck line. It can easily be worn on or off the shoulder and has the cutest deep V in the back. I will say, you’ll definitely need a cami or a bralette that you don’t mind poking out a tiny bit, but that look is totally fashionable right now. I especially love the cream with the black jeans and booties. Perfectly chic for this time of year.

I did a little research and found a few of the cutest distressed sweaters up for grabs. I will say, I don’t love all the ripped sweaters out there right now. Some look stylish, others just look bad. I like the ones that have interesting details, like the points on the bottom of the one I’m wearing or a cute hem or neckline. Looking like you got in a fight with a cat is never a good idea.
