Isn’t it crazy how the second Halloween is over, it feels like full speed onto the holidays? I’ve already been asked for Christmas gift ideas several times and names have been exchanged for various gift exchanges. Even though I resist putting up my Christmas tree until after Thanksgiving, I’ve totally been making spreadsheets to track all my gift ideas and purchases. I’m hoping all my fellow Type A mamas can relate to my craziness (please say yes).
I have no problem what-so-ever finding gift ideas for the ladies in my life, but finding good ideas for men is tough. Really, really tough. Men just don’t like “stuff” like us girls. So when JORD Watches reached out to me to collaborate on their men’s watches, I jumped at the opportunity. While this post was sponsored by JORD, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Now, let me introduce you to someone who is near and dear to my heart. Meet my husband, Kurt. Let’s give him a big round of applause for his blog debut <insert golf claps here>. Now, let me tell you a little bit about Kurt. He’s the hardest worker I’ve ever met, loves grilling, exploring golf courses, hiking, tasting IPA’s, seeing every inch of our planet (with my kids more than I would appreciate some times) and keeps me laughing on a daily basis. He’s pretty much the coolest guy I know. He totally gave me a hard time when I asked him to pose for a few pictures, but he was so excited about the chance to add a new JORD watch to his collection that he willingly complied.
My hubby absolutely loves products made of wood. Wood coffee tables, wood sunglasses, wood art, wood floors and wood watches. You get my point, he likes wood. I know it is crazy, but he already has quite a collection of wood watches. This Delmar dark sandalwood and obsidian carbon watch is his first JORD and is by far the highest quality out of all the wood watches in his collection (his words, not mine). The clasp is sturdy, the wood grain is gorgeous, and the carbon fiber face is really unique. JORD even custom sized his watch when the order was placed using their size guide, so it fit his wrist from the moment he took it out of the box.
Not only is the watch functional, it is also a big conversation starter. Every single time my husband has worn his JORD watch, he received compliments from other men. Yep, man compliments. These compliments always made him chuckle since men don’t typically compliment other men on their accessories regularly, but people notice this watch. JORD watches can also be engraved, which is why I’m declaring this watch the perfect men’s gift idea for 2016. Click here to view the full men’s watch collection and here to view the women’s collection. Yes, JORD makes women’s watches, and I not-so-secretly want one (Santa, take note).
Here’s the best part: JORD has so graciously offered a $75 e-gift card giveaway for my readers (woo hoo)! Click here to enter the giveaway. Everyone who enters the giveaway will receive a $20 coupon, which is a great deal even if you aren’t the big winner. The giveaway ends on November 8, 2016.
