What I Bought from the Nordstrom Sale

This entire outfit costs under $100

Whew, I’m exhausted. Between staying up late to write these posts for you guys, I also shopped until I dropped yesterday. Gotta love a good sale! I didn’t go too crazy on the spending, but I did find some great stuff that is still available! Here is an overview of what I bought from the Nordstrom Sale.

Just to be clear, I never write these posts to try and brag about my shopping. I’m a bit of a shopaholic and I’m always surprised with how much people are interested in what I add to my cart. I wasn’t and will never be the blogger with rolling racks of clothes waiting to be loaded in their car. Who needs that much stuff? I did walk into the store looking for a few new shoes for fall, some new workout gear and a few other goodies.

With that being said, don’t go crazy just because it is on sale. Make a wish list, go in with a budget and stick to it. That’s what I did and I came in pretty darn close. The best news about this post is almost every single item I purchased is still available in most sizes. I tried to stay away from the uber-popular things that are trendy and go out of style. Yes, those are cute, but you have a better chance of finding them on eBay than Nordstrom’s website. I went for basics and things I knew I’d use over and over. Let’s dive into it.

Shoes

My favorite shoe picks from the Nordstrom Sale

Grey Adidas (also available in white), red Vans and Marc Fisher Booties (also come in two other colors)

The shoe sale selection this year was pretty darn good. As much as I wanted to splurge on a bunch of boots, I have quite a few from last year that are still in amazing condition. The styles didn’t change all that much, so I went for cute and casual. That’s probably my style to begin with.

As far as sizing goes, I’m usually a 7.5. I bought the red Van’s in my usual size, and sized down in the Marc Fisher booties to a 7. I then sized up to an 8 in the Adidas, which I usually do when it comes to running shoes.

Activewear

Activewear must haves. The leggings are on sale for $38

Zella cropped leggings, Zella full length Leggings, Grey Adidas, Zella stretchy ribbed tank (comes in 4 other colors)

I went into the sale knowing I’d buy some kind of workout gear. I love working out and will admit, I rend up staying in my gym clothes longer than I should a lot of days. I knew I’d get my use out of these purchases.

I’ve always been a huge fan of Zella leggings because they fit true to size (I’m a small) and the quality is amazing. Both my cropped leggings and full length Leggings are $38, which is less than half the price of a pair at Lululemon.

I originally put this black ribbed slouchy tank back, but then went back to get it last minute. It isn’t really dry fit material, but there was just something about the cozy nature of it that I knew I’d wear all the time. I liked this Adidas tank, but I have last year’s version of it from the NSale so I didn’t need another. If you are digging the Adidas tank, order your normal size but note the arm holes are pretty big.

Other Clothes

Green leopard t-shirt (only $15), chunky Grandma sweater, distressed skinny jeans ($38), red Vans and Marc Fisher Booties

The perfect chunky knit sweater that is available in three colors

I said before walking into the store that I was going to try REALLY hard to only buy stuff I could wear now, with the exception of maybe one sweater. Let’s be honest, Christmas sales are in full swing before I truly need sweaters in Arizona. But I wanted a chunky knit button front sweater (they call this one the Grandma sweater) last year so I knew I’d still love this one later this year. And it’s only $35 so there’s that. I grabbed a size small which I think gives me that oversized, but not giant, look.

The cami I’m wearing in this picture sold out like hotcakes, but you can check for restocks HERE.

I need this $15 green cheetah t shirt

I love casual t-shirts and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a green leopard t-shirt before. This top is only $15 and still available in a few sizes. Grab it fast if you are into it. It will sell out! I got the small so I could knot it.

Finally, let’s chat jeans. A bunch of you said you were looking for jeans and the vote was split down the middle as far as cropped/wide leg or skinny. I liked the whole cropped straight leg look, but I still haven’t found the right pair just yet. Trust me, I looked yesterday and nada.

However, I did come across these distressed skinny jeans by STS and get this – they are only $38!! They fit true to size, have a tiny bit of stretch and are a nice ankle length, meaning they fit 5’3″ me well. I’m usually a 25 or 26 in jeans and got the 26.

The sizes in the premium denim section were pretty picked over, but I’m still thinking about going back to do more denim try ons next week. Jean shopping is a trip in and of itself!

I’ve uploaded a TON of fitting room try on pictures from yesterday to the LIKETOKNOW.it app, which can also be viewed on my blog HERE.

Do you guys want me to upload the fitting room pictures to my blog in a separate post with more thoughts on sizing? Let me know in the comments below.
