New Years Eve Outfit Ideas

Who has big plans for New Years Eve? Ringing in 2017 in style is worth planning for. Even though I personally think New Years Eve tends to be totally overrated, I do enjoy an excuse to get all glammed up in sequins and sparkles.

Dressing up for NYE is going to be very different for me this year. I have tickets to go see Ohio State play Clemson in Phoenix at the Fiesta Bowl (Go Bucks!!!), so I won’t be wearing a single sparkle. Realistically, I’ll probably watch the ball drop in a t-shirt and sneakers. However, that didn’t stop me from pulling together a few of my favorite pieces for those of you who will spend your evening doing something much more glamorous than watching football (although I’m personally pumped about the big game). Let’s get to it.

Black and gold dot dress

If I needed a new dress for NYE this year, there would be a good chance I’d be ordering this black and gold dot dress. It looks fancy, but doesn’t resemble a disco ball and could definitely be re-worn to a future wedding. Super cute and somewhat comfy looking option.

Black sequin tank top

If you aren’t looking to invest in a new dress, I think this sequin shell from Target would be perfect for any party. It could be worn as a tank or thrown underneath a cardigan or blazer. I also love that it is only $27!

   Navy Sequin Top

This navy sequin tee caught my eye because it is just that – navy. I feel like most sequin stuff tends to be either black, silver or gold, so the navy is such a fun twist on the norm. This would look fantastic with a simple pair of dark jeans and boots.

Black long sleeve sequin dress

I love the long sleeves on this black sequin dress. Since most of North America is not currently working on a tan, extra coverage isn’t a bad thing for pasty skin. I should also mention this cute little dress is only $33.99. I really love this one.

Kate Spade Glitter Clutch

I’m a big believer that you can make an entire outfit with one single accessory. I own a gold glitter clutch similar to this Kate Spade bag (see my exact bag here) and it instantly dresses up any outfit. I’ve already used it a number of times this holiday season and always receive compliments on it. Yes, a glitter bag is a bit of an investment, but it is so dang cute in person. Trust me on this one.

Gold Glitter booties

Finally, even if you want to keep your outfit pretty basic, there is nothing wrong with adding a little bit of bling on your feet. How awesome are these gold glitter booties? They would be the perfect statement piece with a simple black dress or even jeans. Leave the heels behind and keep your toes warm and comfy in these beauties.

Do you have plans for New Years Eve this year? Will you ring in the new year decked out in sequins?
