Boho Dresses and Boots

I’ll be the first to admit, my style typically falls closer to the preppy side than boho chic. But lately, I’ve been digging boho patterns big-time. The 70’s have been having a big influence on fashion right now with bell sleeves, fringe and embroidery. Although boho dresses have been popular for a while, I’m not surprised to see them all over the place for fall. I think it has something to do with the mix of patterns, long sleeves and the subdued fall colors. It doesn’t hurt boho dresses look awesome with boots. With that, I say “bring on the paisley”!

This weekend, my family took a trip to Mortimer Farms, which is a cute little farm and pumpkin patch in Dewey, AZ. It is about an hour and a half north of Phoenix, making it an easy day trip. I’ve lived in AZ for over 6 years now and I’m always amazed by how much the landscape can change by driving a short distance north. The saguaro cactuses completely disappeared, the plants are totally different (yes, real sunflowers were growing!!) and the temperature was much cooler. That meant I had the perfect excuse to pull out my Sam Edelman Penny riding boots, which have been in hiding since I bought them earlier this year.

I found this adorable Billabong boho dress on the clearance rack at Nordstrom Rack for a whopping $20. The burgundy color is perfect for fall and it was crazy comfy. I love how it looked with my tall boots, but I’ll likely wear it with my booties next time around to mix it up. Sadly, I couldn’t find it anywhere online, but I found a bunch of other boho dresses that are completely adorable. I’m already thinking about wearing this one on Thanksgiving day because it is super flowy and the opposite of form-fitting. Plenty of room for turkey and pumpkin pie (yummmm).

This burgundy Billabong dress reminds me most of the one I’m wearing in the farm pictures above. The colors are perfection for fall and the price isn’t too bad at $54. I’m also digging this teal drop waist dress, which is also available at Nordstrom.

Target is running a buy one get one 50% off sale on all women’s clothing, shoes and accessories through 10/29. All these adorable boho dresses (blue here, navy here and eggplant here) are included in the promo, which means you could easily snag a dress and a pair of shoes for a great deal. My love of Target fashion continues…

I couldn’t resist including a Free People dress in this post. Let’s be honest, I equate boho chic with the brand. Sometimes it is a tad too much for me and others it is right on point. I absolutely adore this navy embroidered dress, which isn’t cheap at $148. That doesn’t mean I can’t admire it from afar or peer pressure you into buying it.

Are you a fan of boho dresses this fall?
