I love embroidery. In my opinion, embroidered items always look expensive because of all the little knit details. However, there is no reason you have to spend an arm and a leg to find cute, embroidered items. I’ve actually been blogging about embroidered items all summer long and I’m finally getting around to giving embroidery its own Trend Alert. Well, it isn’t too late my friends because all signs point to embroidery sticking around for fall <insert golf claps here>.
As I mentioned in my last Trend Alert, Anthropologie is one of my favorite places to take note of the trends. I love a bunch of the designers Anthro carries in the store, but the majority of the store is crazy overpriced in my opinion. That doesn’t mean I can’t admire their adorable styles from afar and pick up the occasional sale item.
I spotted this red embroidered Sienna top in the store a few weeks ago and snapped a pic for Instagram (follow me @thesensibleshopaholic). I think I prefer the multi color version for summer, but the red will transition perfectly to fall. I can already picture this one with skinny jeans and booties. Too bad it costs $88!!!
