Hearts For The Little Ones

Since having kids, Valentine’s Day has taken on a whole new meaning. Gone are the days where my hubby and I make reservations weeks in advance at a fancy restaurant to celebrate on the 14th. We do try to spend some time together, but since sitters tend to be at a premium, it doesn’t always happen. And if I’m being totally honest, I’d rather spend that extra money buying my kids cute heart clothes. If I had to guess, my husband and I will end up splitting a bottle of Rose on the patio after the kiddos are in bed.┬áBecause what says love more than sharing a bottle of pink wine. #mykindoflove

My son is so excited about his Valentine’s Day party at school this year. He has already picked out some pretty awesome Paw Patrol Valentines for his friends. Pretty sure┬ámy 3 year old thinks the definition of love is a sucker and piece of paper with his favorite pups on front. However, he still needs something cute to wear to his big party. Thankfully, there are a bunch of good sales going on right now for some cute heart’s day gear:

J. Crew has an additional 40-60% off all sale items right now using code SHOPNOW. It looks like the bulk of the sale stuff is an additional 40% off, but there are some Christmas items and other miscellaneous stuff where you can get an additional 60% off. This includes men’s, women’s and kids. How adorable is this pink cable knit heart sweater? I love that the hearts are subtle so you can totally pull of wearing this one past Valentine’s Day. With the promo code it comes down to $29.99 (originally $69.50).

I’m usually not one for kids shirts with a ton of words on them, but I love these vintage Peek t-shirts available at Nordstrom (Heart Breaker here and Love here). There is something about the soft heathered grey shirt that makes them so much cooler than the typical heart shirts you can find at every other store. However, these vintage shirts don’t come cheap since the shirts are between $28-34.

I love getting holiday pj’s for my kids because I have absolutely no problem dressing them in skeleton pj’s in January. You can still get a few festive pictures and wear them for months to come. Plus hearts on girls aren’t quite as “festive” as some other holidays. These heart pj’s are on sale at Gap for $16.17.

Boys totally get jipped with Valentine’s Day. There really aren’t a ton of good options out there, but I love this bow and arrow raglan available at Old Navy. Right now all kids stuff is 40% off so if you need some stuff for spring, now is probably the time to stock up before sizes get picked over. This top is on sale for $7.50 (originally $12.94).

And finally, Target has a ton of lovable stuff for cheap. Oh, how I love Target for holidays like this one. This X and O flutter dress is $12.99.

How will you celebrate hearts day this year?
