Haverdash – Always have new clothes in your closet

Rent the cutest spring clothes for an affordable price

I’m the QUEEN of having a jam packed closet with not quite the right thing to wear. Whether it is a night out with friends or a special event, I seem to always wish I had a slightly different option. The thing is, I absolutely do not need any more clothes in my closet. I’ve finally found a way to have something new to wear for a low, affordable price. Always have new clothes in your closet with Haverdash.

About Haverdash

The greenest way to always have new clothes to wear

Let me introduce you to Haverdash. Haverdash is a clothing rental subscription service that gives you unlimited access to the latest looks for one flat fee of $59 a month. Build your virtual closet on the Haverdash app or website, set a few items as priority and wait for your first box to arrive.

In each box, you will receive three items from your virtual closet and you can wear them as little or as much as you like. No need to wash or dry clean the items, as Haverdash takes care of that for you (yay for less laundry). Send all three items back in the pre-paid shipping bag and wait for the next box to arrive. The best part is throughout the month, you can rotate through as many boxes as you like.

I was so excited to test out Haverdash out over the last month to see how it works.

Box 1

My new favorite clothing rental service

For my first box, I checked the priority flag on the Haverdash app for a number of jackets. Jackets are necessary for our “Arizona Winters” for a few cold weeks. Since our winters are short, renting coats is actually one of the smartest ideas I’ve had in a long time. I wore these cute options and then sent them back so they weren’t taking up precious space in my closet.

This faux fur star jacket by Fever was absolutely fantastic. Do I need to wear this jacket year after year? Not exactly. It’s the definition of trendy and such a statement piece that it doesn’t really quality as a basic that will stand the test of time. Basically this star jacket is the perfect rental.

I have a faux fur camo bomber that I wear constantly. Since I love that one so much, I knew this leopard faux fur bomber by J.O.A would be a huge hit. I wore it with my mom uniform (aka leggings and sneakers) a few times, then sent it back when the weather warmed up.

Finally, I also wore this denim jacket with embroidered sleeves by Cupcakes and Cashmere. A fun fact about this coat – I was able to read the reviews in the Haverdash app to learn it runs a tad small. I requested a medium (I’m usually a small) and loved the fit thanks to other Haverdash members.

Out of all the jackets in my first box, this one I really, really wanted to keep. If you find you can’t live without an item in your Haverdash box, you are able to buy it at a discounted price.

Box 2

I tried Haverdash and here is what I thought...

After sending my first Haverdash box back, I received my second box only a few short days later. And since the AZ weather has recently started to feel a bit more like Spring, I dropped the jackets from my Haverdash priority list. Instead, I added tops that I thought would be fun transition items into the warmer weather.

If this striped and embroidered top by Andree isn’t perfect for Spring, I’m not sure what is. I love the colors, fit and print. One downfall to this particular piece is it definitely would require to be ironed after washing it. Since I’ve found I rarely wear anything that requires an iron, I wore it and let Haverdash take care of the washing and ironing. Ultimate mom win.

I unknowingly added two items by Andree to my Haverdash closet. I’m actually not familiar with this particular brand, but clearly like their style. Such a fun way to discover new brands and try out new styles. I thought this colorful rainbow sweater had the cutest balloon sleeves and is perfectly bright and cheery.

Finally, this popcorn sweater by Blu Pepper is another fun and trendy piece to round out my month with Haverdash. I wore it out to dinner, received a few compliments and then sent it back for someone else to enjoy. No need to let this one take up space in my closet.

I genuinely love the style of the items on the website and found them to be more casual and wearable than some of their competition. Further, the $59 price point is amazing given how many pieces I had access to throughout the month.
