I know a title like this is a hint of a bold statement. Another bold statement – bright yellow pants. Clearly I’m not afraid of either. It’s been a while since I’ve wrote a blog post all about a single item, but this one is worth talking about. Today I’m sharing my new favorite $20 high-waisted wide leg pants, which are are available in three colors.

Yellow pants, striped tank, straw bag, black espadrilles, earrings, sunglasses
When I first spotted these yellow pants at good old Tar-jay, I knew I had to have them. However, I didn’t buy them the yellow first time I saw them. I decided to be practical and buy the black, as you can clearly wear a few more things with black pants than yellow.
So what did I do? I bought the black pair, wore them on a trip to Ohio, and kept thinking about the yellow. Now, it has been a few weeks and the yellow version also resides in my closet. I always say if I don’t forget about an item after a few days, I usually love it. And I’m truly in love with these pants.
Black wide leg pants, pink tank (similar), tie dye sweatshirt, suitcase, rattan earrings, Tory Burch sandals, sunglasses
Before our trip to Ohio, I was on a mission to find a comfy travel outfit. Initially, I was thinking a jumpsuit, but getting fully undressed in an airplane bathroom to pee sounded terrible. Leggings are still my jam, but I really wanted something different. These high-waisted wide leg pants are amazing.
Fair warning, if you click on the link, you’ll notice they are listed as pajama pants on the Target website. Target has expanded to have quite a few lounge clothes, but there is absolutely nothing about these that look like sleepwear. In fact, when my hubby first saw me wearing the black version, he thought they were nice work pants. They are a great thickness and the paper bag waist makes them totally on trend.
Black sweats, polka dot tank top, denim jacket, rose gold sandals, rattan earrings
I’m wearing an XS in both the yellow and black, which I’d say is true to size. As far as the length goes, I’m 5’3″ and the length couldn’t be better. However, if you are tall, you might want to size up.
Navy wide leg pants, white tank top, tie dye t-shirt, white sandals, hair clip
I don’t own the navy pair (yet), but here is a peek at them from my latest trip to Target. They are a nice heathered navy that will match with a ton. Here are two simple ways to style them.
What do you guys think of the wide leg pant trend? Have I convinced you to buy this $20 pair just yet?
