Flamingos For Summer

I’m a big fan of the occasional quirky item, especially during the summer. So it makes me smile when an eccentric thing like flamingos become trendy. Yes, you just heard me say FLAMINGOS are trendy. I’m totally talking about the silly pink birds who sleep standing on one leg with their heads tucked under their wings. I’m loving the pink flamingo trend right now and I’m here to tell you how to embrace a quirky trend like this one this summer.

Here’s the thing about a silly little trend like this one. Please take note I’m not wearing a life-sized flamingo dress. I’m wearing fun flamingo shorts paired with simple accessories to balance out the quirkiness. The flamingo pattern is pretty small so you really have to look closely to even realize I’m wearing at least 100 flamingos on my shorts. I bet you can’t say your outfit featured that many birds this week. On this particular day, I went with a plain navy tee, but I could also see my shorts going well with a simple white top or even a chambray shirt.
