8 Awesome Tops for Fall

It’s fall y’all!

Well, sort of. It might be fall where you live, but it is still in the 90’s where I’m at in Arizona. I’m itching to put away my tank tops and shorts, but it just isn’t happening quite yet. Even though it isn’t exactly sweater weather, the nights are getting cool enough that I can now start pulling from the long sleeve section of my closet. Woo hoo for those cool desert nights!

I decided to pull together a list of a few of my favorite tops for fall. These are not sweaters, not kimonos, not flannels. Actual tops or blouses that you could easily wear with jeans, shorts work pants or a cute skirt. For some reason, finding cute tops is really difficult for me. I have no problem stockpiling dresses and sweaters in my closet, but tops are much harder. I honestly think it is because the cute tops always get picked over first. Here are a few of my favorites this fall.

The exact off the shoulder top I’m wearing in the picture at the top of this blog post sadly sold out, but I found this one which is pretty darn similar. I’ve been on a serious Target shopping kick lately and it isn’t going to stop anytime soon. Right now, Target has 20% off all clothes, shoes and accessories, dropping the price down on this cute boho top to $23.99.

I’m in love with the patterns on these printed drapey v-neck shirts from J. Crew Factory. I personally would go with the floral mustard one, but I know there are plenty of you out there that aren’t digging yellow. The blue is a great option as well, especially since floral patterns are really popular right now. The price is $24.93-27.99 depending on the pattern you choose, Don’t forget to enter code SHOPNOW, which takes an extra 30% off all clearance items.

I love, love, love this navy sheer bell sleeve top. Bell sleeves are super trendy right now and the simple style of this top is perfect for fall. If you care to get crazy, pair this shirt with white jeans.

It is no secret I’m a huge fan of plaid flannel button-down shirts. While I love them, sometimes the style of the shirt dresses an outfit down instead of up. I found this Madewell Herald plaid tee and I’m kind of in love with it. Even though it is just a 3/4 length tee, I think it would look amazing with jeans or work pants. Throw a cardigan or vest on top and you have a great outfit on your hands.

Wine colored clothing is always huge for fall, and this year is no different. I’m in love with the color of this simple v-neck crepe blouse. I can see this classic top going with everything in your closet, and it is available in 5 colors. The best part it is on sale for only $25.20.

I was talking to one of my mom friends the other day ago and she mentioned she recently bought some of the cutest stuff from Express. She’s petite like me and couldn’t stop talking about how happy she was with the fit of the clothes. Back in my high school and college days, I bet 80% of my clothes were from Express. I stopped shopping there years ago for an unknown reason and I think I might be a fan again. I stopped there this weekend based on my friend’s recommendation and snagged this off the shoulder top in red. It is the most perfect Christmas red color for the upcoming holidays (yes, I’m already thinking about that), but only the black is available online. Since I believe you can never have too many great black tops, this one is going on my list. It goes for around $39 online, but I got mine in-store for right around $18.

Isn’t this Lacy Poet Top just pretty? I love the detail on the top as well as the bell sleeves. This one can easily be dressed up with a pencil skirt or dressed down with jeans.  Cute, cute, cute.
