Sigh. Swimsuit season is just around the corner (or here if you live in AZ like me). My kids are ecstatic to spend their days swimming like fishies, but I’m nowhere near ready to rock a bikini like I was when I was 20 years old. But one thing that makes swimsuit season slightly less painful is a cute suit. I’m still clinging onto the remaining years of being able to sport a two-piece, although my bathing suit style preferences have definitely changed as I’ve gotten older. I’ve fully embraced the mom tankini for weekly swim class lessons with my daughter, but when I’m at the pool and looking for some sun, I’m still attempting to look cool in a two piece. Is looking cool with two little kids running around by my feet possible?? #itry

I really like this strappy cross back triangle top. Anyone that spends time at a gym knows that strappy sports bras have really become a thing and apparently that trend has made its way into the swimsuit space, too. My 20 year old self would have instantly thought “bad tan lines” when looking at this suit, but since I no longer have the option to leisurely lay on my stomach by the pool, I now think the cross back actually will provide some much-needed bathing suit top security. Anyone who has hung out by a pool with a one year old knows exactly what I’m talking about. And if I’m really being honest, I like that this suit will hide the horrible racerback tan I have from exercising outside. There are also a bunch of different patterns, color combos and style of bottom options available. There is even a bandeau top here that matches the whole ensemble. However, I’ve learned through experience that bandeaus are not kid-friendly. #trustmeonthisone
I think the top of this knotted back body wrap bikini is so cute. The bottom is maybe a tad too strappy for my liking, but similar the suit above, there are other coordinating bottom styles to choose from. This style also comes in plain black, which is great if you are looking for a new LBS (little black suit).
When I looked at this picture of this black and white getaway halter, the first thing that pops into my mind was the black and white cookie. Anyone ever seen that episode of Seinfeld, or am I just dating myself here. I doubt any of the VS models have ate a black and white cookie recently (or maybe ever??). Anyway, I really like the contrasting colors on the tops shown, but the teeny bikini bottom options shown are wayyy too teeny for me. There is a hipster bottom in the same colors that would be a better option in my opinion.
