It’s that time of year again! You know, when it is 100+ degrees outside and we are all buying boots and sweaters like we will all be visiting a pumpkin patch sometime soon. Yep, it’s time for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! Nordstrom gives us all a big preview of the styles that will be popular in the coming months AND marks them down by around 40%. I’m not one to complain about a sale so I’m sharing my favorite items by category for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2020.

Nordstrom is doing things a little differently this year. Not only did they push the entire sale back until August because of COVID (check out my COVID story HERE and HERE), but they also added more time for those loyal cardholders to shop before everything sells out. AKA they are letting the people who spend $$ spend even more $$$$ by shopping the sale before the rest of us. Here is the timeline for Cardmember access. You can find your access level by logging into your Nordstrom account.
I personally don’t buy that much at Nordstrom every year so I’m in the Insiders category for the sale and will be shopping on the 13th. Works for me. Quite frankly, I’ll probably save money since several things will likely be sold by then!
Even if you aren’t planning to shop for a week or two, you can add your favorite items to your Nordstrom Wish List now and then easily check out when it comes your time to shop. Oh Nordstrom, always finding ways to make us overshop!
One other thing I will say is stuff sells out insanely quickly so if you see something you like, buy it. If you change your mind, you can absolutely return it. Also, items are periodically restocked throughout the sale so if an item is sold out, check back from time to time. You never know when it will come back in stock!

For me personally, these are my favorite items included in the sale. The best of the best for me. However, it always comes down to what you need. If you need underwear, buy them and skip the shoes! It’s all about saving money where you can. But if I had $1,000 of free money to spend on the sale, these are the items I would buy.
Women
It made me laugh because when I was pulling together all the items for the sale, I noticed there are about 35 pages worth of items for women and about 10 pages for men. Even less for kids and home. Nordstrom knows its audience well. Here are my favorite items for us ladies.
Beauty
Beauty items are always such a fun thing to grab on sale. A lot of these brands aren’t marked down very often, and Nordstrom has a lot of exclusive sets included in this year’s Anniversary Sale. Here are a few favorites.
Men
Anyone else shop for their spouses? I’ll likely buy my husband the black Patagonia vest, as they are his favorite and a big part of his Arizona winter uniform. Here are a few other cute items for the guys that caught my eye.
Home
Truthfully, I don’t usually think of Nordstrom when it comes to home goods. However, they have some really cute things and the prices aren’t terrible since they are on sale. That marble and wood cheese board needs to live in my kitchen, don’t you think?
Kids
Finally, we can’t forget the kids. Over the years, I’ve realized some things like shoes and jackets are worth the money for the little ones. I usually grab my kiddos a pair of shoes for the upcoming school year (although who knows what school will look like this year).
