I absolutely love that summer is finally here. It feels so nice to take a little break from our regularly scheduled programming and play it by ear for once. My favorite days are the weekends where we wake up, chill at home for the morning and then go pig out at brunch. Especially when I have the perfect blue maxi dress to do it in.

You guys know I’m a huge fan of dresses. I love pieces that on their own, make a statement and are easy, breezy and comfortable. That’s why I was so excited when my friends over at Maggy London asked if I wanted to partner up with them on this post. I’ve loved their dresses for a long as I can remember and adore so many of their summer collection. Their styles are the perfect combination between classic and right on trend, and the quality is top notch.
Now, brunch. Want to know a fun fact about me? I’m not much of a breakfast fan. I’d take lunch food all day, every day, over a traditional breakfast feast. I’m super weird about eggs (I’ll eat them scrambled but no other way) and find most breakfast food doesn’t usually fill me up for long. However, give me a sandwich or a salad and I’m a happy girl. Let’s just say any time between 11 am – 2 pm is ideal for me to eat brunch. It is late enough where I can enjoy a mimosa or glass of wine with my meal and most restaurants start to offer the lunch menu. That still counts as brunch, right?
Breakfast food aside, how gorgeous is this cobalt blue maxi dress?! I’m obsessed with it for so many reasons. First of all, the length. I’m only 5’3″ and find that most maxi dresses tend to be too long on me. This one is such a perfect ankle length. I wouldn’t quite call it a midi dress, but it is somewhere in between maxi and midi (aka perfection). If you are taller than me, it might end up being more of a midi length, which is super trendy these days. You really can’t go wrong with this showstopper.
Also, there’s something about the color of the dress combined with the material. I’m not going to do it justice, but the soft material is almost like an eyelet, but not quite. It doesn’t have the little holes like a true eyelet, but it does have similar details. But the color is as gorgeous in person as it is in these photos. I’m in love with a vibrant blue like this one. The second I saw it, I knew this beauty had to be mine.
