I feel like most people have an opinion on the camo trend. You either love it or hate it. Funny enough, I was kind of split down the middle. I loved it on other people, but couldn’t decide if it really fit my style. After all, you aren’t going to find me wearing combat boots to run my mom errands. My style tends to fall somewhere between preppy and boho and I honestly couldn’t figure out if I could pull camo off. Well, things have changed. And I’m here to tell you we can all pull it off.

This past winter, I really was on the hunt for the perfect camo sweatshirt. I don’t know if anyone else has this problem, but as soon as I decide I’m looking for something, I can never find it. If I have a wedding to attend, there is zero chance I’ll be able to find a cute dress in my size. If I have a vacation coming up then every swimsuit looks like it was made for a toddler. You get what I’m saying. The camo sweatshirt never happened this year, but I did recently stumble across the cutest camo t-shirt dress. Just when I wasn’t looking.
The funny part about this cute dress is where I got it. Forever 21. I used to shop at Forever 21 a ton back in my 20’s but after I had kids, I completely stopped shopping there. Back in the day they didn’t have a website so the only way to buy was to go in the store and dig to find cute stuff. Even after they rolled out a website, I never really got into shopping their stuff online since in my opinion, it is one of those stores you really have to try things on. After I had kids, I thought my Forever 21 days were over, but not really sure why. I do feel like 21 was a lifetime ago, after all.
A couple weekends ago, my kids and I went to Legoland Discovery Center Arizona, which is in Arizona Mills Mall. After spending hours of building Legos and listening to catchy (ahem annoying) kid songs, we set off to find a snack before we got in the car and headed home. On our way to grab an Auntie Anne’s pretzel (anyone else an Auntie Anne’s addict?!), I stumbled across a GIANT Forever 21 store. We were leaving for Hawaii in a few days and they had a huge sign for kids stuff (side note – when did they start selling kids clothing?!) so we wandered inside. We didn’t find any cute kids clothing, but the camo t-shirt dress caught my eye for a whopping $12. I tried it on in a size small (true-to-size and fits like a charm), along with a bunch of ill-fitting clothing that would have looked better on me when I was 21. However, I was still excited about busting out of my comfort zone and trying out a new trend. Maybe I need to bring Forever 21 back into the rotation on occasion. It at least brought some fashion fun into my Legoland adventure.
Here are a few other camo inspo items in case you are ready to dive into the trend:
What do you think about camo? Yay or nay? When was the last time you shopped at Forever 21? Let me know what you think in the comments!
I like the Camo trend this spring, this trend has been one that is sticking around, I like how you paired the dress with a denim jacket!

I love the camp dress! I still haven’t found the piece that fits my style, but just like you were, I’m on the hunt, because I do think it’s super cute if it’s vintagey looking! Maybe I’ll have to go check out Forever21 again!

Cool style story babe! Forever 21 is usually a hit or miss for me, but you can get really lucky and find some cute stuff. I think its one of those things where you have to visit a certain area to get some really cute clothes or shop online. I wasn’t sure about the camo trend either, but also recently found something on Forever 21’s site which was a cute camo lace up top for a group shoot. Super cute. I love this camo dress tee on you. Great find and steal.

your camo dress is hard to match usually but it suits you so well and you matched it up perfectly with the jacket.

Totally with you on the camo. I’m so on the fence but love this dress and how you styled it! And I shop foreever21 all the time. I’ve found so many cute things on the sight for me and my 6-year-old. More so when they have 50% sitewide sales. 😉
