I can confidently say tassels are one of my absolute favorite trends for 2017. I just can’t get enough in my life. I’m sure in a few years I’ll pull out the scissors and go to town removing them from everything in my closet, but for right now, I’m obsessed. I’m convinced tassels make every outfit that much more fun. In theory, if I was crafty I could sew a bunch on my own clothing, but I just don’t see that happening. I might lack the crafting gene, but I sure am not missing the shopping gene.

I know I’ve talked about tassels a bunch of times on my blog, but I thought I’d share a few of my tassel favorites right now. I’ve had a few friends recently ask me where I got my tassel clothing so I know there are at least a few more of you out there asking the same question. This black jersey tank dress (C/O Shein) has tassels across the bottom and is seriously my new favorite comfy dress in my closet. It is super loose and stretchy so I’d size down if you are debating which size to order (I went with an XS).
One thing to note, the arm holes are a tad big so I wore this dress with a stretchy black bralette underneath since I knew a normal bra would peek out. I also could see this one as a super cute cover-up by the pool. You’ll be seeing me wear this $12 (yes, I said $12) over and over this summer. The same style also comes in olive green.
Next up is this white tassel overlap dress (C/O Shein). I’ve been eyeing this dress on the Shein website for months and I’m excited to finally own it. I did a little video of it when I received the package on my Instagram Stories and my best friend immediately messaged me to say she owns it, too. Great minds think alike. The front is so cute, but you NEED to see the back:
This dress is seriously made for shimmy-ing (is that a word??). It is thick enough so it isn’t see-through and is true-to-size. I went with an XS in this one, too. It also comes in yellow and black and is only $15.
Those of you who follow me on Instagram already saw these Jurere sandals (C/O) by Gabriela Ephrem. Yes, I’m in love. I’ve worn them a few times over the last couple weeks and received a bunch compliments from strangers. These are such a statement piece. They are cute in the picture but even better in person. Gabriela has an Etsy shop as well as her own website and sells styles inspired by fashion in Brazil. She’s also giving my followers 15% off your order using code THESS15, which should work on both sites. Apparently, I’d fit in nicely in Brazil given my love of tassels.
Finally, I’ve linked to a few of my other favorite tassel items currently available below:
Are you tassel obsessed this summer, too?
Great tassel looks. I’m loving it. That’s the great thing about loving fashion, if you don’t find yourself loving the tassel next year just grab some “tassel be gone” I guess the technical name is scissors.
I love your saying, “lacking the crafty gene but not missing the shopping gene.” Too funny.
